Upton Bass String Instruments Co specializes in the building of custom handmade double basses and upright basses with designs developed over years of working closely with some of the world’s finest bass players. Upton Bass is also a restoration shop which stocks and services historic and fine vintage double basses. Additionally, we have developed the UB Standard line for those on a tighter budget, built in our shop alongside our finest instruments.
